Nook Cases and the Hana Relay

Nook Cases and Hana Relay Time

I have been incredibly busy the last few months so there hasn't been much stitching going on...  I have been back at school for about 4 weeks or 23 days to be exact.  I have a great group of students and have been trying to revamp and clean out my classroom.  Lots of purging and cleaning going on- years and years of stuff to get rid of.

My big news is that I have my second graders blogging.  It has taken tons of my time to figure it all out but my kids are excited to be blogging.  It is so much fun to see their reactions when they post and when they receive a comment.  Yipee!  I can totally relate, I feel the same way when I get a comment or when I see how many total peeks there are on my blog. I am always in awe of those bloggers that have lots of subscribers. Anyway, school has kept me incredibly busy!

Last weekend was my annual Hana Relay trip to Maui.    Last year's trip we each ran one leg and headed back to the luxurious vacation rental.  So this year we skipped the gorgeous vacation rental, stayed in a less than deluxe hotel and then ran the entire race.  After the race we headed over to the Kea Lani resort and relaxed for the night.  It ended up being a fun filled weekend with friends.
Loved drinking a  margarita and hanging out on our hotel lanai

First thing that you see is the breathtaking lobby

The sights on one of my legs of the relay, absolutely gorgeous!  Took my mind off the crazy steep hills!

I was able to make my son and his girlfriend cases for their new Nooks.  They were staying with us until they found teaching jobs in the Middle East.  It was so hard to say good bye to them but that is another story for another time...

  1. Love the Nook Cases! Hopefully it will help keep them safe and sound. I think their next trip ought to be to the Central Coast. I'm praying for a safe and speedy return.
